Terms & Conditions - The Vocal Studio
The Vocal Studio is owned and operated by Anouk van der Laan as the owner. Our services are offered globally but mostly used in Canada and the Netherlands.
Services
We provide online and in-person vocal classes, courses, downloadable study materials, and access to an online learning environment.
Payment
- Payments are accepted via e-transfer, PayPal, Stripe, and Mollie.
- Customers may choose upfront payments or subscription options.
- All payments are final, we do not offer refunds due to the current size of the company.
Lesson Cancellation & Rescheduling
- Lessons may be canceled up to 24 hours before the scheduled time without penalty.
- Cancellations within 24 hours or no-shows will not be refunded or rescheduled.
- Exceptions may apply in cases of emergency or technical issues, at the discretion of The Vocal Studio.
- Rescheduling is always possible if prior notice is given within the allowed timeframe.
Equipment & Technical Requirements
- Students must provide a working device, stable internet connection, and ensure all necessary software is up-to-date.
- For live lessons, students should not attend if ill.
- The Vocal Studio is not responsible for technical issues on the student’s end.
Intellectual Property
- All course materials, including audio, video, and written content, are created by The Vocal Studio or licensed from third parties.
- Materials are for personal use only and may not be shared, reproduced, or sold.
Privacy
- We collect names, email addresses, and phone numbers for account setup, access to the learning environment, and communication purposes.
- For Dutch residents, additional information may be required for invoicing purposes.
- We respect your privacy and handle your information in accordance with applicable privacy laws.
Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
- The Vocal Studio makes no guarantees regarding individual results; student progress depends on personal practice, engagement, and participation.
- Technical failures or other circumstances beyond our control may affect access to courses or materials.
Governing Law
- These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws applicable to the country in which the student is located, and any disputes will be handled accordingly.
Acceptance
By enrolling in a course or accessing materials from The Vocal Studio, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
